The lost timezone

Lucy Comments Off

You’ve heard of Greenwich Mean Time, Daylight Savings Time and Whatever time people in Queensland operate under. Sunday I discovered a lost timezone … ‘L Timezone’. It centres around a particular watch.
This is such a powerful timezone that any slight variation in timepieces around said watch can cause frowning to commence. I mentioned that I used to have various clocks around my family home set to different times to ensure we always left the house on time if not seven minutes early. It used to be referred to as the ‘fudge-factor’.

The look I got upon revealing my secret could have frozen the Sahara. It was then I was inducted into the ‘L’ timezone. Now my own watch is permanently set to L time, which causes no end of confusion when I look at other time pieces but I’m too scared to argue … a sure sign that our relationship is going very well.

78/365 - Framed

I can appreciate their concerns as I’m sort of at that stage myself. The only difference is that they are in their first 10 days and I posted day 79 today. :-)

It seems I get the best reaction to a photo whenever my eyes are staring directly down the lens. As much as I want to provide variety, in the instance of a complete lack of new ideas, my eyes come to the rescue. It’s almost like a safety net.

Spent nearly all day yesterday going through the army photos I took on Saturday. At least I can justify the full days pay I will be claiming for the selection and post processing time tonight. November is rapidly vanishing under a cloud of army activities but at least I may be able to afford Christmas presents for people during the festive season.
